Singles

The first single release by Magick Eye Records , Pictures In My Mind is a track taken from Spaced Out, Squatter In The House is a psychedelic mutation of the track Sexsquat from the first Astralasia album, the last track , a cover of the Byrds track given the Mushroom Band treatment , was only released on this single .


The version of Magick Eye is taken from the Re-Hash album, the version of Pink Floyd's Set The Controls... is unavailable elsewhere.


Released to show some of the diverse aspects of the Mushroom Band's music, Life Is So Strange is an edited version of the track on RU Spaced Out 2, Turban Paranoia has been remixed from Re-Hash , Astralasia is an ambient track taken from Spaced Out.

Albums

Released in 1986, now utlra-rare with only 500 copies pressed, originally released with b/w A0 poster of the cover and an A3 insert. Recorded in a primitive 8-track studio the quality is variable. The tracks on the album were taken from the bands live set.


The first album for Aftermath Records, recorded in 1987. Recorded on 16-track. Chillum smoking policeman was 'borrowed' from Oz magazine .


The second album the band recorded for Aftermath, released in 1989. The voices on Arthur Mix were played in live-ish from a video recorder straight to multitrack... no samplers involved. Cover design by Belladene Deva.


Originally released as a limited private press for Fungus Records in 1990, this album was the first to be released in Europe by Mystic Stone Records. The original sleeve was an A0 poster designed by Kameleon who also did the covers for the first two Astralasia Albums.

Again, initially released as a private pressing by Fungus Records and Mystic Stone in 1991, this album is currently available on Magick Eye as EYECDLP 6 . The original album and CD release had a 3D fold out cover and free comic. The album has a guest appearance from David Jackson of the band Van Der Graaf Generator.

The first album released by Magick Eye Records, Re-Hash is, basically, re-hashes of old Magic Mushroom Band tracks, using a few more studio tricks and toys than we had available when the tracks were initially recorded , plus a couple of covers, Hendrix's 'Are You Experienced' and Tomorrows 'My White Bicycle'. The cover was designed by Louise Macaulay. Originally released in 1992.
